A Mazda check engine light can point to anything from a loose gas cap to an internal engine issue. - Ignition Coils or Spark Plugs: If your Mazda is stuttering, hesitating when you
accelerate, or shaking at idle along with the light, you likely have a
misfire caused by worn spark plugs or a failing ignition coil.
